It’s His Turn

lastdayof7thgrade

Ryan has been waiting for this day for the last  month. His LAST day of school and it finally came Friday.

It was a good year for him. He got really good grades this year and has improved in math. He has come a long way since I enrolled in his online school.

This year he decided he wanted to go to the science fair. His project was lava in a cup.

lava

He took water added food coloring then oil. Put different amounts of salt in each cup and timed to see how long the lava effect lasted. The teachers LOVED it!

Plus he got to meet a few of  his teachers. Going to an online school, you just get to hear their voices. Sometimes they put on their webcams and you can see them.  But meeting them was great.

We finally met his DEC teacher after 3 years of having her. She is amazing and just so stinking sweet. Michelle if you see this we adore you!  We also met his science and social studies teachers, they are amazing ladies.

Here is a group shot of some of the kids in his class and 3 of the teachers from his team. I really wanted one of him and his DEC teacher but he was already frustrated getting these group photos.

Its hard to believe my lil man only has 5 more years of school. The time really does fly.

But now he is enjoying staying up late working on his legos. Here is the latest one.

What are your kids up to for summer break?

The Last Day

Allison was kinda upset on her last day of preschool. She was sad she wouldn’t get to see her friends or teachers for a few months. I told her everyone needed a break from school and she would get to see her bestie this fall. We would do lots of fun things this summer and she is gonna have a great time.

Then she realized some of her friends wont be back at preschool. They have to go to kindergarten and she doesn’t get to go this fall.  She doesn’t think it is fair she doesn’t get to go. She doesn’t quite understand she just isn’t old enough yet. If her birthday was sooner in the year she would be moving on to kindergarten. But when I told her Lauren was coming back to preschool, she smiled her sweet smile.

Thursday she got on the school bus one last time!

She was excited to get there, she knew it was graduation. The kids that are moving on to kindergarten got to wear caps and gowns. They were all adorable.  I can’t wait to see her in that cap and gown next year! We watched a slide show off all the fun stuff they did this year. Then the kids sang 5 songs: Washing Machine, Baby Shark, Please Say Cheese, The Alligator Song and Allison’s most favorite Going On A Bear Hunt!

Then it was time to walk up and get there diplomas/certificates

Allison LOVES her teacher. She is just the sweetest! I am glad that she will have her again for her second year of preschool.

Are your kids out of school for the summer yet?

Any fun plans for the summer?
